1.7.03: Everything looks soggy. After rains in December, however, today is sunny. Santa Cruz was 75 degrees. Early in January there are many birds in my garden.

Little rain, planty of sunshine this month. Confused the Tulips and other bulbs.

I love this Rose! It blooms so much. I put one by Jack's chair often. Many Lemons on the tree. Maureen Tulips with Deep Violet Tulips.

The Blue Poppy Anemones have been especially beautiful this year, blooming from January and into April. Planted Radishes; Jack's favorite.

Replanted more Radishes. "Flamivil". May 19th: Jack pulled the first Radishes - Yum!

Green Strawberries ... as some scoundrel is swiping the ripe ones. June 30th - 31 Apples on the tree.

White Roses gone, although I see some new buds. Santa Rosa Plum: 7-8 on tree. "Exotic Lone" came up.

Many many Beans ... So good! I love my Apple tree.

Lots of Zuccini. Dahlias blooming. Begonia blooming. Cukes did not do so well.

Some veggies come from the Farmer's Market.

Damn Deer!! Ate tops of Strawberries, Rose bushes, tips of Apple tree, "Exotic Love" and OakLeaf Hydrangea. Planted Ranunelus Hybrids in garden.

Garlic is up. Also, Wheat from the Straw I put on top. Big Mistake! Deer continue to eat the OakLeaf Hydrangea, plus other stuff. Bad Deer! Nancy's Pomegranate and Red Chili.
