The MCSC Gift Shop Group was started by some ladies in the 1970's. Rose Kroc was one of the first leaders. Marvel Glynn was next in charge. She later became president of MCSC. Nancy Olds took over after that. Currently (2009), the Gift Shop Leaders are: Margo & Hedy.

We knit, crochet, sew, do other needlework and talk. This is a fun group of ladies who are caring and loving. All the things we make here are for the benefit of Mid-County Senior Center. The only requirement is a $25.00 membership fee to the MCSC Center. The enjoyment of crafting, knitting, crocheting and other handwork like embroidery brings a sense of accomplishment and joy.

One of the Bridge players donated scarves. One former member who lives in Virginia knits for us. Our members become long time friends.

We meet every Thursday about 11:30am, and bring our lunch. We usually have birthday celebrations once a month. Once a year, 1st Saturday in November, we have a Holiday Bazaar. We make Jams, Preserves, cakes, cookies and other goodies. We have potlucks 2 or 3 times a year. We like to cook and eat.

We receive many donations throughout the year, we have a good supply of materials to work with. The talent of others who cannot join our group is much appreciated.
